The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time,
Auditions for GLT’s March 2026 show, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time, a
multi award winning novel and play based on the novel by Mark Haddon, adapted for stage
by Simon Stephens will be held at Studio 73, Monday 24 th November at 7.00 pm and Sunday
30th November at 4.00 pm. The production is directed by Lynn Bushell.
The play is a powerful and remarkable journey into a different mind-set as Christopher
Boone, a young mathematician with behavioural differences, follows a quest to solve a
neighbourhood mystery in a journey of self-discovery and acceptance. More than just a
detective story, the play offers an illuminating look at life in an emotionally charged story
which invites the audience to see the world from a new perspective—one that celebrates
difference, resilience, and the courage to be yourself.
Director, Lynn Bushell, says this production offers a young actor 16+ a wonderful
opportunity as the lead role of Christopher Boone, a teenager with Autism Spectrum
Disorder. This role is not a stereotype about ASD but how Christopher sees and experiences
his world and how others react and relate to him. Other roles (for those able to play ages 20
to 60) include Siobhan, his teacher who understands him best, Ed Boone, and Judy Boone,
his parents plus 3 male and 3 female actors playing multiple roles. For more details check
